Psalm 27
The Lord is my light and my
salvation, whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my
life; of whom shall I be afraid?
When evildoers assail me,
uttering slanders against me, my
adversaries and foes, they
stumble and fall.
Though a host encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear; though
war arise against me, yet I will
be confident. One thing have I
desired of the Lord, that will I
seek after; that I may dwell in
the house of the Lord and
inquire in His temple. For He
will hide me in His shelter in
the day of trouble. He will
conceal me under the cover of
His tent. He will set me high
upon a rock.
And now my head shall be lifted
up above my enemies round about
me. I will offer in His tent,
sacrifices and shouts of joy. I
will sing and make melody to the
Lord. Hear, O Lord, when I cry
aloud. Be gracious to me and
answer me. Thou hast said, Seek
ye my face. My heart says to
Thee, Thy face, Lord, do I seek.
Hide not Thy face from me. Turn
not Thy servant away in anger,
Thou who hast been my help, Cast
me not off forsake me not, O God
of my salvation, For my father
and my mother have forsaken me,
but the Lord will take me up.
Teach me Thy way, O Lord, and
lead me on a level path because
of my enemies.
Give me not up to the will of my
adversaries, for false witnesses
have risen against me and they
breathe out violence. I believe
that I shall see the goodness of
the Lord in the land of the
living. Wait for the Lord; be
strong, and let your heart take
courage. Yea, wait for the Lord.

Father, You are awesome and beautiful beyond description. My God, my Father, my Creator, my Sustainer, my Provider, my Healer, my Redeemer and my Friend, I love You. You are worthy of all praise and glory and honor and power and wisdom and riches and strength!
Your Name is above all other names.
Your mercy is so great and Your love is so deep. I exalt You!
Affirmation for Today
-I will allow my inner guidance system to lead me, because sometimes I am a slow learner-
The end of the week is a good time for a non message. Usually there is happiness and excitement on Friday because the week-end is here. We are already inspired and motivated by it just being "Friday." Thank God!!!!!!!!!! But life is to be savored not rushed. Stop and think about what inspires you to push on???A pay check, a holiday, a vacation, celebrations… but we never hear someone say that I am pushing on because I get to worship at church on Sunday, or Prayer meeting is Wednesday and I am so excited. We must be ever mindful of what inspires us.
Inspiration is always good, but in all Goodness there is something that we sometimes forget. God is ever present in everything. We need Him in our life.
Without Him.. our life stops…
Without us He lives Forever.
As you ponder that thought, know that without God the word Goodness does not exist. So as we continue on this journey.. let's take time to Honor Him first, then we will naturally be inspired to push forward.

Why are you in such a hurry??
Hurry, Hurry Hurry.. rush here rush there we
rush everywhere. There are more accidents,
near accidents, abnormal behavior from people
that are in a hurry. God is in no hurry, so why are we.
We often
think that God will change things within the
next few minutes or hour because we asked. If
we ask now we certainly expect an answer before
the sun goes down…and definitely by the
week-end. Humans are the only beings that are
slaves to a clock. God is not a slave to
anything and for sure, He is not a slave to a
human clock. We pray and expect answers right
now, today before night.
God's clock for the universe is not on a 24 hour
cycle, His clock and His actions are
synchronized to what He desires for you and
when He desires you to receive it. He knows your
needs and desires before you do. No one, not
even you, can speed up, slow down, block or
cancel, God's desires for your life.
Patience is required of us. Understanding that
God is extremely deliberate in His actions, and
for us it may seem painfully slow. God may be
slow by our standards but He is careful about
every detail. He will respond to our
requests/needs and we will see results. Be
confident in knowing that "God Is" timely and
precise. |

Lessons that mold us |
|
When you feel that you are stuck in
a place seek God..
I believe there are lessons to
learn that will carry me out of this
place of frustration and there is
good that you will bring forth from
this troubled soul of mine. Lord,
please grant me a willing spirit to
learn what you are teaching me.
AMEN
Life does whatever is necessary to
mold us into what we should be. It
does not always happen as we want
it, but as we need it. Sometimes we
feel that we are going through the
same silly problems over and over
again and it may be true.
But repetition is the best teacher,
if the lesson was learned the first
time… you would not continue to
have to sit through the class.
Our experiences are necessary.
While we are being molded God is
exercising His Power showing us that
He is the Almighty Power that keeps
His word.
Never alone, never forsaken, never
given so much to bear that it is
unbearable, there when we need Him…
That is His promise.

Steps to Forgiveness
In order to forgive, there are
necessary things one must do. Know that
forgiving is setting free the perpetrator from
causing you anymore grief. Only then can your
soul/spirit be free of the source of pain and
move on. Not speaking to someone for some small
event that happened, or harboring a grudge for
something that happened so long ago… only hurts
the one that harbors.
Throughout history, there have
been horrific acts against others. Against
others of different color or religion. Some of
those groups honor that event and use it to
motivate them to aspire to do great things while
other groups cannot move beyond the
dreadful historical event. Some use it
everyday as an excuse, a limitation, and a
de-motivator. This happens when the
body is free to move about, but the mind is
still held captive.
Do you think the Germans
are bound by conscious!!
Do you think that the founding
forefathers and their next generations have a
conscious about what was done to the Native
Indian or the Africans!! Conscious would not
have allowed them to do criminal acts against
another human being.
Sometimes you find a poor
resilient people who let it all go. Haitian
people in all their perceived misery should hold
a grudge against America and the French. But,
during the earthquake, they praised God
constantly. I never heard one blame anyone for
their life's circumstances. They are an
example of a people once enslaved… have removed
the chains from their minds.
While painful, and seemingly
unforgivable, Forgive we must. Once you forgive, it
does not honor the ancestors to always seek help
and reparations from the very people that
enslaved you. It demeans and dis-honors a regal
blood line and a generation of warriors.
Chains are powerful, they can be
seen and unseen.
When you forgive those that
perpetrated crimes against your group. You can
move past limits, anger, and self hatred. We must
never allow a horrific past to hold us
captive to another group. One must never lessen
their existence by begging the very people who
enslaved your ancestors, by asking them for
reparations.
Though we must forgive for that helps
one into Heaven... we must never forget.

When is the Best
time to Commune
with God?
Today we celebrate
Being.
Honoring God
whose hand and
eyes watched
over us as we
slept and saw
fit to give us
another day to
"BE."
Early morning is
an excellent
time to commune
with God. The
quietness of
night is
slipping into a
world of light
and sound, and
the sounds of
the universe, if
you listen,
bring an
awareness of its
being. When you
take the time to
tune in to Gods
universe and
relax into the
new day, you
become one with
the Creator and
peace will be
yours.
Today is a day
to celebrate
you. Celebrate
gave us the word
celebrity and
you are
deserving of all the perks
that go with it.
Celebrate the
celebrity that
you are, the
special, unique
person that
represents the
love of your
earthly mother
and father…. And
then bask in the
Love of the
Almighty Father
in Heaven, who
made it all
possible.
I am, you
are…..because He
Was, IS and
always Will BE.

Walking With God
Walking with GOD is one of the most exciting and
rewarding of all experiences. What you benefit from
being in His presence everyday is only good. It is
not always easy to walk with Him, it can be difficult… but
always worth it. There is a rule of life that says when
you walk with Him you become acquainted with trials and
tests. Trials and test are only placed in our life
so that we may become closer to God.
You are tested everyday, and it is not always by God. People test you…friends test you, family will test you.
And when others think that you are most vulnerable, they
push and push trying to break your "spirit." But all
things come to those with a sincere heart and a love for
God the Father and His Son Jesus of Nazareth. You are
protected.
Everyday, there is someone out there waiting to steal
your joy. Their job is to make you feel less than.
These folk live in a state of misery and insecurity
and they want you to be miserable. But when God has
His hands on you…nothing can stop you from the desires
of your heart. And nothing can steal your joy.
I often think of my days in corporate America, I walked
with God everyday, I took Him to work with me and he sat
with me in every evaluation, every Boardroom meeting,
when I was privy to fly on the corporate Jet with the
VIP's and when I tried to do His will by helping others.
When others tried to sabotage my work, God intervened,
when others tried to discriminate against me… God was
there.
Promotion after promotion… God was there, He never left
me alone, never allowed me to lose sight of what I
claimed to be mine, and He never allowed me to fail or
feel less than. And when I retired, I retired on my own
terms and God continues to smile on me.
See when you walk with God, anything meant for you…. is
yours. If it is not meant for you… there is something
better waiting down the road. How we treat others is
like throwing a boomerang… if you are doing others wrong
and you know it……..all I can say is…duck.

God, set our

Affirmations for
today
-I trust the
gentle strength
of God's Power
and I will give

If you have
"Dreams" it is

happen. I am

at some scenic
pictures to stir
my desire to
travel to some
awesome places.
The most
beautiful place
I had ever seen
was this quaint
little village
in Austria,
nestled between
the river and
the Alpine
Mountains. My
dream was to be
in that picture.
Speaking and
desiring it, I made my dream
a reality.
So
often we spend
time talking
about what we
want to do,
where we want to
go, what we wish
we had…
There is a
simple
formula…just set
you eye on the
prize and work
to make it
happen.
There is
little
excitement in
staying where we
are. Life is
about
transition…Things
are ever
changing. And you
must be prepared
to move into
another place at
a moments
notice.
Transition can
be relocating,
changing or
losing a spouse,
changing a job,
losing a loved
one, getting a
promotion, pay
raise, losing a
job or a home.
Transition is
anything that
changes us from
where we are to
a different
place or state of mind.
If life always
flowed with a
sense of joy and
goodness, We
would never get
to know the
strength of God,
and we would
never need Him.
It is the challenges
and Dreams that
force us to
realize we can't
go it alone. It
is the Power of
the Almighty God
and His
omnipotence that
can handle
everything and
anything.. it is
up to us to seek
Him and
acknowledge Him
as the Almighty,
all Powerful
Omnipotent,
Healer, Problem
solver and
Friend.
Again…….God made
life that way.

Looking to
objects for
happiness
 As adults we
look to objects
to make us
happy, It is not
how much you
have but how
much you enjoy
what you have
that brings true
happiness.
Growing up most
of us lived in a
house with two
or three
bedrooms, one
bathroom. We
waited in line
or scheduled
bathroom time
before going to
school… but we
never
complained. We
woke up early
enough to get
done what had to
be done before
we went to
school. There were very
few over weight
children. We
did not spend
hours on the
computer or
listening to
IPods, watching
television or
even in the
house. Parents
would send us
outside.
With all the
technology, big
houses and three
cars in the
garage….are you really happy. We
are the Prozac
generation… Gray
Goose generation
Apple Martini
generation.
Stretched like a
rubber band..
about to pop.
When God
created man,
left Him naked
and in a garden
full of food, He
knew what He was
doing. While we
all work hard to
accumulate
things, we must
relax into the
upgraded life
style and not
let it consume
us.
If you are
stressed over
how to pay for
it, cannot
afford it, If it
stresses you to
a point of
worry…you don't
need it. The pleasure of
enjoying life
should be free
of worry and
stress over
things you don't
need to live and
enjoy a full
life.. |
