Dear Lord, there are times when evil unleashes its destructive forces,
and we can become overwhelmed. Whether it is an unexpected financial upheaval, a change in work assignment, an unfavorable doctor's report, or a personal crisis….. there is panic.

Fear and doubt create havoc on the rational mind.  Please silence the alarms in my life. Teach all of Your children to be composed in the midst of uncertainty.

In the name of your Precious SON….Jesus of Nazareth…I ask.

Words for Today

To do and be all that you can be requires a motivating "spirit."  There must be something within that inspires you to move forward, to do better, to be kinder and more gentle.  Something that inspires you to learn more, explore more and
to reap the benefits of all life has to offer.

We are not born into greatness, there may be some born into a family of great people known through out the world by their last name.  But each child, whatever circumstances they are born into, must forge their path and make a name for themselves.

We see others who come from a place of meager means yet were inspired to achieve great things. Some are motivated by material things that can push you to do good or bad deeds to acquire  things.  Inspiration comes from unknown places, Seek the path of Good to acquire your desires.

Love the person that you are… and be the best "you."

May There Be Peace Within May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be...  May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.  May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you...  May you be content knowing you are a child of God...
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.

AFFIRMATION

I'm fully present in the moment.   In this new day that God has gifted to me,
I will take time to slow my pace, consider my actions, and walk with God.

Words of Wisdom

Living in a body that matures, one can easily feel the toll of life's journey.  Everyday living can have you feeling wear and tear on the body.
Christians are most vulnerable to feeling tired and weary because as Christians we are constantly at war against the demons and darkness of the world.because are partners with God to keep satan on the run…just as God kicked satan out of Heaven, we have a full time job of praying him away, and praying for protection of our loved ones and this earth we share.

There are so many known and unknown forces of evil that calling on God, and Jesus for protection is a 24/7 job.  As we watch the news, something comes on that makes us send out a special prayer. Driving in our car, something happens to make us send out a prayer…..and  with the election of our first bi-racial President, I pray for guidance and safety for President Obama and family.

So when you feel that your "spiritual energy" is spent,  self baptizing in the Holy Spirit…God's Word will give you a renewed energy. As Marvin Gay said in His song about healing…. if it feels good to me, it must be good for me.

Walking with God in the "spirit" feels real good to me, and I know it must be good for me.

The Storms of Life-

As Jesus was present with his disciples in their storm of life, so he is with us in our storms . He will not forsake you, leaving you to struggle alone and drown. He is with you and hears your pleas for his help. He is there to answer you in the midst of your troubles. He tells us  in Psalm 50:15: “Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.” So in the storms of life, rely on Jesus to carry you through.

Growing up in Florida, we had seasons of hurricanes.  The weather service would track the storm from down in the lower Atlantic Ocean and estimate the time it would hit the Florida coast giving everyone time to prepare.  Living in the Sunshine State of Florida was considered a good life, close to beaches, good weather year round, but the one down side was the season of storms.

You will encounter many storms in life, and there will be no weather service to warn you that they are approaching.  You will not be given prior notice or time to prepare. These are the times when God puts us through the discipline of darkness to teach us to heed Him.  Storms of life will send you to God in Prayer and force you to listen for His voice

In every storm there is a center, when the weather service shows an image of a storm, right in the middle is the image of an "eye."   The eye of the storm or the center is the calmest and safest place you can be while high winds and  flooding rains rage all around you.   When storms come into your life, imagine yourself under God's watchful "eye,"   in that place of calm. You will have an awareness of the storm around you, but in God's "eye of the storm,"  the turmoil's may roar, but you will remain in the protective armor of calm.

Knowing Right from Wrong

Doing right should never come from a place of internal struggle,  especially when wrong is the only option.  If you are of God and Goodness, doing right by others is automatic.

We were all raised with values and principles, even if you come from a dysfunctional home. But if you are some how lost and don't know what is right or wrong,  Life offers so many resources to you to help you get your heart and soul right.

Today we have  men and women living a life that challenges God, the law and humanity.  But when does one reach a level of maturity that they look at themself and say "something in my life is lacking!!!"   The answer is to seek God and ask Him to direct your life. Being mature in the spirit, means that when you don't have the answers, you seek the answers.  God being the Master Teacher.

When you have to struggle to do what is right..
There is an empty place in your heart that has not sought and found the Love and guidance of God..

Character vs. Reputation-

We often confuse "Character" and reputation. Character is what you are and nothing changes that. It comes from a life built on solid values and  principles.
It is a life molded by family that raised you with a foundation rooted in God.

Your journey will take you through many situations…but in the midst of it all "the real person that you are" is the one that will go into each situation and come out with a "spirit"  strengthened from the experience.  Character is who you are and what you are regardless of where you are.

Reputation has little to do with who you are. It is based on how you are perceived by others.  It can also can come from a place of bias,  jealousy and envy. Thank you God that on that day,  only YOU will sit in judgment, without prejudice and without favoritism.

A Reason, A Season, A Life time-

This worldly experience is full of adventure, it is a journey that takes you through many celebrations, different stages of growing and maturing, many wonderful events and a great deal of sadness.  But it is a journey that once we get on the train, we should enjoy the ride.

A Season.  When you need to be taught a life's lesson.  A lesson that promotes your  spiritual growth,  preparing you for eternal life in His kingdom,   this special Angel will come into your life and stay until your lesson is learned.

A Life time. Parents, siblings, relatives, that are with you from birth to the end.  They nurture, teach, take care of and protect you. These are the ones that are hardest to lose, but just as they are sent to you… you are sent for some one else.  This is the Family circle of life, all together until one by one their journey on earth ends.

Only God knows the right Angel to dispatch, and only you can recognize that Angel when it appears. Trust God to know your needs. And if you should feel a presence in a time of need,  that is an Angel, dispatched by God to watch over you.

Glass Half Empty or Half Full-

Place a glass half filled with water in front of ten people and ask them what do they see, some will see a glass half empty and some will see a glass half full.   If you see the glass half empty, you lean toward the negative,  living your life seeing all that is wrong in the world. If you see a glass half full, you look for and see the good in life.

Positive people see possibilities. They know that there is always room left for something more. They are aware of adventures and experiences waiting to be lived.

There is no mountain too high or no task too difficult for you.  You see the beauty of the flower in a garden full of weeds,  and you understand that though you may have less…. there is still room for so much more.
