"Hear, yea children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding."  
"For I give you good doctrine, forsake yea not my law." 

Proverbs 4:  is the Father instructing all of His Children on the importance of wisdom. It teaches us the importance of parental guidance, communicating so that understanding occurs.. and with all of these things " forsake not the Fathers Law."

We spend so much time misunderstanding others that much of our journey is wasted when it could be conflict free just by following Proverbs 4.   Wisdom should direct you in your day to day living.  Taking time to pray, to see and to hear gives you the gift of understanding.

Wisdom tells us not to walk across the street when the light is red, it teaches us that just as poison will make you ill, living a wayward existence will make you ill.  You may ask yourself, "How do I know when I am seeing and hearing with wisdom??? When you don't have to search for perfection in all that you do…you have gained wisdom.

When you realize that every relationship that fails is not your fault….you have gained wisdom.  When you see the reality of a situation…yet you have "HOPE" and live a life of "Hope"…you have gained wisdom.
 
When you are proud to be the person that you are. When you accept that life does not happen to you but you live life, when you understand that all mankind is created equal, but it is how you take the equal and stretch it to "Excellence"
you have become wise beyond years. 
 
"Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life"

God Supplies All Needs
 
 
Awakening to a rainy  morning, I am reminded of the power of God. 
When the earth is dry and the air is full of negative particles, rain is our evidence that God watches everything and He knows all things. It is our evidence that He has a clock that He works by and His timing to provide the needs of everything He created may not be according to our clock but always on Time.

 How powerful is the One we serve, that He and only He can open the Heavens and send the rains.  If God knows the needs of the earth and the right time to supply its needs…surely goodness He watches you, and me and He is aware of everything going on in our lives.

Often we have to write down things so that we won't forget, or write down commitments so that we will not miss the appointment.  It is so easy for us to think of God as being overwhelmed and forgetting our existence or our needs.
 
Do not worry. God is not of flesh and He is not subject to our weaknesses or the minor things that challenge our memory or over power our thinking.  
 
God is Sovereign… He holds us in His powerful Hands.

We get bumped and bruised sometimes… and He knows that
we have obstacles that seem insurmountable. 
But God knows our strengths and our limitations and If you keep Him in your heart, He will protect you as only a Sovereign Father can.

Showing Mercy

"With the merciful thou will thy show thyself merciful…II Samuel 22:28

So often we form hasty judgments, sharp criticisms of others.  Even judging others for the very sins that we have committed. We live in a society where holding a position of power over others is the addictive drug that pushes this type of behavior and it does not go without being abused.

We always ask for God's "Mercy" yet we hesitate to show "mercy" to the very people we pass judgment against.  Have you sinned… then was unforgiving, selfish, unsympathetic, un-brotherly, unmerciful to another!!!

Are you the debtor that had your debt erased, but refuse to be patient with him who owes a paltry sum.  Sin is sin and we have all fallen short of pleasing God at some point.  But God showed us His mercy…. He forgives…

When did we become so high and mighty that we frown on the weakness of another, or we kick a person when they are down.  Only when we show mercy to another… will God show mercy to us.

Parents spend years teaching their children good basic principles so that they will one day grow into an adult that models their basic training. Parents nurture and provide guidance so that each child can develop into an authentic "you" and live within the world we share.  Parents have always understood that each child is their "Legacy." 

As we age we are confronted by many people who attempt to change who we are. Teachers are guilty of this… they alter our creativity by forcing us to conform to an educational system that limits the imagination.  But parents had us much longer than any teacher, they had us during the formative years…. and that is why we can only be the person tied to the roots of our creator, our parents.  Creators linked to their creator until it reaches back to "THE CREATOR"…GOD.

When life happens and we try to change us or others work to change us…Be who you are.   In Leviticus 11:44 God spoke these words.

"I am the Lord your God; so consecrate yourselves and be holy, for I AM HOLY."

Our parents, being children of the most Holy….trained us in His way, we have within us the power to consecrate self and live a Holy existence. An existence rooted in the principles of our parents who were forever rooted in their Christian Faith.

Being your parents Legacy, are you representing them with honor????

I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness.
 
Isaiah 43:19

When God spoke these words to Isaiah, He was telling him to look for the good that lies ahead…. God speaks those very words to us.
He is telling us that no matter what is going on in the world, in this nation, in government,  on your job, if you don't have a job, or if you are sick..

He is Aware. 
 
God also wants you to know that "Whatever" is going on… He has the POWER and the WISDOM to fix it, change it or do what is necessary to bring order and peace to you, this world and His earth…Praise Him in the good times and Praise Him in the not so good times and trust His Wisdom. 

We cannot see down the road…. but God has promised that…
Goodness and Mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives………
And who are we to doubt………the Great " I AM."

Knowing Right from Wrong

Doing right should never come from a place of internal struggle,  especially when wrong is the only option.  If you are of God and Goodness, doing right by others is automatic.

We were all raised with values and principles, even if you come from a dysfunctional home. But if you are some how lost and don't know what is right or wrong,  Life offers so many resources to you to help you get your heart and soul right. 

Today we have  men and women living a life that challenges God, the law and humanity.  But when does one reach a level of maturity that they look at themself and say "something in my life is lacking!!!"   The answer is to seek God and ask Him to direct your life. Being mature in the spirit, means that when you don't have the answers, you seek the answers.  God being the Master Teacher.

When you have to struggle to do what is right..
There is an empty place in your heart that has not sought and found the Love and guidance of God..

Character vs. Reputation-

We often confuse "Character" and reputation. Character is what you are and nothing changes that. It comes from a life built on solid values and  principles.
It is a life molded by family that raised you with a foundation rooted in God.

Your journey will take you through many situations…but in the midst of it all "the real person that you are" is the one that will go into each situation and come out with a "spirit"  strengthened from the experience.  Character is who you are and what you are regardless of where you are. 

Reputation has little to do with who you are. It is based on how you are perceived by others.  It can also can come from a place of bias,  jealousy and envy. Thank you God that on that day,  only YOU will sit in judgment, without prejudice and without favoritism.

A Reason, A Season, A Life time-

This worldly experience is full of adventure, it is a journey that takes you through many celebrations, different stages of growing and maturing, many wonderful events and a great deal of sadness.  But it is a journey that once we get on the train, we should enjoy the ride. 

A Season.  When you need to be taught a life's lesson.  A lesson that promotes your  spiritual growth,  preparing you for eternal life in His kingdom,   this special Angel will come into your life and stay until your lesson is learned.

A Life time. Parents, siblings, relatives, that are with you from birth to the end.  They nurture, teach, take care of and protect you. These are the ones that are hardest to lose, but just as they are sent to you… you are sent for some one else.  This is the Family circle of life, all together until one by one their journey on earth ends.

Only God knows the right Angel to dispatch, and only you can recognize that Angel when it appears. Trust God to know your needs. And if you should feel a presence in a time of need,  that is an Angel, dispatched by God to watch over you.

Glass Half Empty or Half Full-

Place a glass half filled with water in front of ten people and ask them what do they see, some will see a glass half empty and some will see a glass half full.   If you see the glass half empty, you lean toward the negative,  living your life seeing all that is wrong in the world. If you see a glass half full, you look for and see the good in life. 

Positive people see possibilities. They know that there is always room left for something more. They are aware of adventures and experiences waiting to be lived.

There is no mountain too high or no task too difficult for you.  You see the beauty of the flower in a garden full of weeds,  and you understand that though you may have less…. there is still room for so much more.
