The "Word" teaches of "two paths" open to us for our "Life's Journey." These paths are often contrary to the path that we attempt to create for ourselves. The "Word" clearly speaks of the Path to Destruction and the Path to Eternal Life. As humans with our own way of thinking, we are sometimes determined to put our spin on "God's Word" to accommodate the life style we lead or to fit our personal situation.
There is no third road.
The road to destruction is often filled with quick fun, pleasures and bad choices. This road is the fastest way to derail your journey. Living a life of sin is punishable by God, and often punishable by death. Living on the road to destruction may give temporary satisfaction, but it leads to eternal life in the fires of Hell.
When you chose to walk the path to eternal life, you display a courage against demons and the ways of the world. You are a direct beneficiary of God's guidance and protection. Your path will be lined with roses and every now and then you will pick one for its beauty and feel the pinch of a thorn.
That is life. When we experience the beauty of life's roses, we must sometimes experience the pain of the thorn. But following the path to eternal life is a wonderful life. Wouldn't you rather endure the pain of a thorn once in a while and smell the sweet fragrance of the roses to spend eternity in God's Kingdom.
So often we take life for granted. We forget the significance of blood flowing through our veins. We awaken in a rush to get ready for the day and fail to look at our awakening as a gift. When you put living and life in perspective, you start the day with God and a prayer of gratitude.
With all that is going on in the world, we need a solid foundation. Many have lost hope as they struggle against the weight of the world. The more you struggle the more frustrated you become. Looking for answers and solutions from earthly sources.
Like Jacobs Ladder there is a Faith ladder. It is supported by God. Faith enables you to climb above and out of circumstances that frustrate and stress you. In the midst of the turmoil there is/was God. The Master Creator and master Planner. He knows the future and holds it gently in His hands. Fret not over what may happen on the earthly plane, give it to God and He will handle it. Look at every experience as preparation for Eternal Life in His Kingdom.
So grab hold of the life you have been gifted with, walk this earth for one more day, live it as though it was your very first day on earth or your very last day of your journey.
Your Future-
The future is full of possibilities, it is an unwritten chapter and the pen is in your hand. On this journey, it is your learning and maturing that prepares you to achieve all that is possible. It is the vision of unforeseen things that can motivate you to drop the old and conceive the new.
Like the Biblical story of Lot's wife, looking back at the past when there before her was a vision of hope, we must not be so stuck in the comfort of the past that we become paralyzed and unable to move forward. Lot's wife, though warned not to look back, could not resist the temptation...looking back, she turned to stone..
When you continue to look back after God has given you a vision of a promising future, you have allowed the past to enslave you. Look back if you must, but don't allow your past to limit your future.
Do You Struggle to fit in-
Are you one of those people that will try to adjust your behavior to be what you think others want or expect you to be. People have an image of what they think you are. An image based on their interactions with you and the package you present in your appearance, the way you speak, and dress. You may not like it but people look at you and put you in a category.
If what people see when they look at you, is who you truly are.. keep it up. But if the you that is seen is a fake...stop now and do a self inventory. Being your "authentic self: means not being a phony, fake or a poor copy of someone else. Authentic is that which is true and real. Don't change yourself just to fit in.
You will find it is easier being the authentic you, not having to remember when you embellished the truth just to impress, or to keep track of un-necessary lies told to appear popular.
Be the good original that God made you to be... the copies are already taken.
For Our Soldiers-
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
May God Bless and protect you where ever you are. We appreciate all that you do for A united America. We understand that there is so much happening you must be on watch and vigilant at all times. Hold fast to God the Creator and hold love in your hearts..for where ever there is Love....God Is.
Remember.. The oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure. . we pray for you daily.
God Answers Prayer-
Dear God, when my hear is faint, lead me to the rock that is higher than me. Let me find refuge under the shelter of your wings for You are my rock and my salvation. How often do you pray this prayer, get up off your knees and still worry about not being strong enough to weather the storms of life. We all say "I believe in God" or "I know he will provide" then we worry about when, how will it come, will it be on time.
Where is your FAITH????
A True Believer knows that there is no room for doubt, fear or worry. A true Believer allows God to be in control and becomes the follower. He designed the path for our journey and knows what we will face. He will be there.
Everyday will not be a great day, and we will not always get what we ask for. We ask for things that sound good but are not good for us…and God knows this. That is when you believe your prayers are unanswered. Prayers do not go unanswered, God in His infinite wisdom knew what was and is best for you, if your prayer was for something that is not designed for you, it won't happen. But God will send something better.Spend your time living life and knowing that God designed the plans for your JOURNEY.
Rest in the Assurance that whatever each day brings, you will get through it or God will take you around it. That is why He is in the prayer answering business.
Negative Spirits-
We each have within us a "witchy " spirit that rears its ugly head sometimes. Being on the receiving end of a witchy spirit is no fun. It sends out negative energy that slows you down.
There will be times when you have to deal with "witchy spirits" they are everywhere. At work at home, in churches, there are people that will do or say anything to make you uncomfortable or miserable. In Ephesians 6 it say be strong in the Lord, and the power of His might, Put on the whole armour of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (witchy spirits).
The "witchy spirit" is of satan. It does not like it when people live in harmony, work in a peaceful environment, or just get along and are happy. It knows that where there is harmony on earth…God is behind it. This spirit cannot defeat God so it has to use an earthly vessel to do its dirty work.
Remember that the next time you come face to face with a "witchy" spirit. Stand up for yourself but use your spiritual power to send satan on the run.
